The Serving Cafe was born out of a simple belief: that a cup of coffee and a warm meal can change someone's day. Founded by Jennifer and her team in the heart of historic downtown West Branch, Iowa, we're more than your neighborhood café — we're a gathering place where family, friends, and strangers become regulars. Everything we make is crafted with care — from our home-cooked breakfasts and fresh-baked pastries (made from scratch every single morning) to our specialty coffee and handcrafted smoothies. Rise and shine — breakfast is what we do best. Every morning we crack fresh eggs from JC Organic Farm, fry up locally sourced meats, and cook everything to order with the kind of care you'd expect from someone who actually loves feeding people. Served until 1:45pm.

The Classic - $11

The one that started it all. Two fresh eggs your way, golden fried potatoes or crispy hash browns, your choice of sausage patties or smoked bacon, and toast to soak up every last bite. Simple, hearty, and made with love every single morning.

The Lighter Fare - $13

All the good stuff, a little lighter. Two fresh eggs your way, a cup of seasonal fresh fruit, sausage patties or smoked bacon, and your choice of toast. Because starting the day well shouldn't mean feeling weighed down.

Mom's Biscuits & Gravy - $6+

Two fluffy buttermilk biscuits smothered in our homemade sausage gravy. This one tastes exactly like it sounds — the kind of comfort food that makes you feel right at home. We make the gravy fresh every morning, no exceptions.

Pancakes -$9

Two golden, fluffy cakes served with 100% pure maple syrup and vanilla butter. Add sausage patties or smoked bacon on the side and call it a perfect morning. Simple ingredients, done right.

French Toast - $11

Two thick slices of Texas Toast, golden and custard-soft, drizzled with 100% pure maple syrup and vanilla butter. Served with your choice of sausage patties or smoked bacon. The kind of breakfast that makes you slow down and savor it.

Break the Fast - $11

A fresh egg sandwich built for mornings that deserve something special. Sausage patty, bacon jam, creamy avocado, and melted cheddar all tucked into a buttery croissant. One bite and you'll understand why it's a fan favorite.

Triple B — Basic Bacon Burrito - $10

Don't let the name fool you — there's nothing basic about it. Two scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar wrapped up tight and served with a fresh side of salsa. Great for eating in or grabbing on the go through the drive-through.

California Club - $11

Turkey, ham, house-made bacon jam, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, cheddar cheese, and our signature avomayo sauce, all piled onto a flaky croissant. Fresh, layered, and impossible to put down.

Favorite Chicken Salad - $12

Roasted chicken tossed with onions, celery, sweet red grapes, and a creamy house mayo, served on a buttery croissant. It's called the Favorite for a reason — this one keeps people coming back.

The CBR (Chicken Bacon Ranch) - $12

Chicken breast piled high with caramelized onions, crispy bacon, melted cheddar, ranch dressing, and our house-made bacon jam on a fresh croissant. Rich, savory, and completely worth every bite.

Buttermilk Monte Cristo - $12

Latte
